Jordan is a critical human geographer living in Los Angeles, CA.

Jordan’s work focuses on how people relate to and reclaim space in rapidly changing urban landscapes.

  • What is preserved, and what is erased?

  • How does colonialism shape redevelopment?

  • How can we reimagine our relationships to land amidst rapid spatial dispossession?

Currently, she thinks about toxic waterscapes shaped by human intervention, environmental degradation, and community-led regeneration, such as the Gowanus Canal and the LA River.
